Welcome to Superior Wellness! We are committed to providing high-quality massage therapy and personal training services to support your health and well-being. To ensure a smooth and professional experience for all of our clients, please review our policies below.
1. Appointment Scheduling
Booking: Appointments can be scheduled online, by phone, or in person. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time.
Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email or text message when your appointment is successfully scheduled and a reminder email two days before scheduled appointment and a text message two hours before scheduled appointment.
Late Arrivals: We kindly ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to accommodate the next client, and you will still be charged for the full session.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will be subject to a 50% charge of the service fee.
No-shows: No-shows will be charged the full price of the session.
2. Payment & Pricing
Accepted Forms of Payment: We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and checks. Payment is due at the time of service.
Pricing: Our prices vary by service and are clearly listed on the website or available upon request. Prices are subject to change, and clients will be notified of any price adjustments in advance.
Packages: We offer discounted rates for packages. Payment for packages is due in full at the time of purchase. Packages may not be shared with family members or friends.
3. Health & Safety
Health Disclosure: Prior to your first session, we ask that you complete a health intake form. This allows us to tailor your massage or training session to your needs and ensure there are no contraindications to the services being provided.
Medical Conditions: If you have any medical conditions or injuries, please notify your therapist or trainer. We may require a doctor's note or approval before proceeding with your session.
Hygiene: Please come to your appointment clean and free of strong scents or lotions. For personal training sessions, please wear appropriate workout clothing and footwear.
4. Client Behavior
Respectful Environment: We ask that all clients respect the boundaries of our staff and other clients. Any inappropriate or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of services.
Sexual Harassment: Any form of sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments or physical behavior, is strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate dismissal from the session and potential banning from future services.
5. Therapist/Trainer Conduct
Professional Conduct: Our therapists and trainers maintain the highest professional standards of conduct. They are licensed, certified, and committed to ensuring your comfort and safety.
Confidentiality: All information provided during your sessions, including health history and progress, will remain confidential in accordance with HIPAA privacy laws and regulations.
6. Massage Therapy Specific Policies
Modesty & Comfort: During your massage, you will be appropriately draped with towels or sheets to ensure your modesty and comfort. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Requesting Pressure: Please communicate with your therapist about the pressure that is most comfortable for you, whether that’s light, medium, or deep pressure. This may be different on various parts of the body (i.e. on the back you may want deep pressure while on the arms or legs you might like light to medium pressure).
Pregnancy Massage: We currently are not offering pregnancy massage but will soon.
7. Personal Training Specific Policies
Fitness Assessments: For new clients, we recommend an initial fitness assessment to understand your goals, current fitness level, and any physical limitations. This will help create a personalized training plan.
Client Commitment: We expect our clients to actively participate in their fitness journey by following workout plans and providing feedback during sessions. If you’re unable to attend a scheduled session, please notify us as early as possible.
Session Duration: Personal training sessions are typically 30-60 minutes unless otherwise agreed upon. If additional time is required, it may be charged at an hourly rate.
8. Packages, Gift Cards & Discounts
Gift Cards: We offer gift cards for massage therapy and personal training services, available for purchase online or in-store. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Discounts & Promotions: Occasionally, we offer special promotions and discounts. These offers are subject to terms and conditions, and cannot be combined with other discounts or used for previous services.
Package Expiration: Packages must be used within 1 year from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
9. Liability & Insurance
Liability Waiver: All clients are required to sign a liability waiver prior to receiving massage therapy or personal training services. The waiver outlines that you are participating voluntarily and acknowledge the inherent risks associated with physical activities and bodywork.
Insurance: We do not directly bill insurance companies. However, if your insurance provider reimburses for massage therapy or personal training, we can provide you with a receipt and/or medical documentation to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
10. Privacy & Data Security
Privacy Policy: We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. We will not share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
Data Retention: Your personal and health information is stored securely and will be kept only as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations.
11. Modification of Policies
Superior Wellness reserves the right to modify, update, or change these policies at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes and updates to policies.
